The American Hero Jam is a weekly live music fundraiser event to raise money for the VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN. Local musicians, comedians, and other talent are able to showcase themselves in front of a live audience as well as being part of a worldwide webcast.
Each week, JukeZoo.com provides a FREE LIVE WEBCAST of the American Hero Jam so that our veterans and active duty military can enjoy the live entertainment. Many local patrons along with the Blue Star Mothers are able to give "shout-outs" to military service men & women who are overseas.
The American Hero Jam is produced by Eagle's Nest IMB, a non-profit organization, out of Mannford, OK. Over the past six years, Eagle's Nest IMB has raised over $30,000 for the VA Medical Center. Each Memorial Weekend, the Eagle's Nest IMB hosts a Hero Ride, an event that allows bikers to travel to Memphis where the donation is presented to the VA Medical Center. This event also allows Eagle's Nest IMB to visit with our veterans, serve them food, and provide live entertainment.
Because the VA Medical Center is a government funded facility, many of the simple luxuries that we take for granted are not available to our veterans. Eagle's Nest IMB has helped provide things such as cable tv and outings for our veterans. They also funded the Hoptel - a hotel like room for families to stay in (free of charge) while their loved ones are in the hospital.
If you are in the Tulsa area, come on by to one of our American Hero Jam webcasts and say "Hi" to the troops or even entertain them. If you or someone you know is actively serving in the military, check out the FREE LIVE WEBCAST every Sunday and Wednesday. Please help spread the word to our military overseas so that they can watch the webcast and know how much they are loved and supported by all of us back home.
